Swamp Circus Trust believes that its circus and theatre activities have a positive impact on people and communities
Our Mission Statement: "To benefit communities and individuals through Circus"
Please see Community: Current Projects and Community: Past Projects for lots more information.
We are Modern Circus: non-animal and egalitarian - open to everyone regardless of ability, gender, faith or age. We are fully inclusive.
- Community Circus workshop participants develop transferable skills that will help them progress onto further education or employment
- Performances can develop pride in communities
- Community circus projects can bring people from different ages, faiths and backgrounds together to develop understanding.
Circus arts celebrate diversity and include many skills and disciplines so there is something for everyone to enjoy. Swamp Circus Trust feels performing arts can bring creativity and energy back into the community whether you are watching our performances or performing in them!
We have developed community circus projects aimed at:
- Developing personal development skills in young people
- Bringing together young people from different ethnic backgrounds to promote understanding
- Community leadership and regeneration consultation
